Winter Whites
Its January already and yet it seems like it’s been winter for ages. There’s still months left to go, so it’s not too late to make sure you’re on point with your cold weather style. One trend that’s has been all over the red carpets is one that you can easily translate to your wardrobe at home. Here’s a few hints: you probably have it in your closet already, it’s a colour, and old traditions say its a no-no this time of year.

It’s winter whites! It’s time to break a few outdated rules this season with a few easy pieces.
One celeb favourite is the white dress. The upcoming award season will be a great time to watch the stars bring out some absolutely show-stopping pieces. Even in the warmth of Hollywood it makes you think of soft, pretty snow. Jessica Alba rocked Valentino Couture to the premier of Litte Fockers. Gwyneth Paltrow wore Monique Lhuillier to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Michelle Williams wore Dior to the Blue Valentine premiere. AnnaLynne McCord chose to show her individuality and fierce style at the Spike Video Game Awards in a crisp white suit that looks ridiculously hot.

To try this trend yourself the easy way: start with white accessories, which you probably have relegated to summer storage for a quick pop of the shade. From there you can go bolder with snowy white dresses, coats and pants if you dare to throw old traditional fashion rules to the wind. Go ahead, winter’s already drab, what you wear doesn’t have to be too.

Holiday Party Tips!
PlastiChic blogger, Rochelle, offers up tips to get you through Holiday parties with fashionable charm.
Christmas parties: Stop stressing so you can have fun!
The holiday season has sprung on us with full force, and with any luck you’ve been invited to a party or two. It’s definitely exciting to add a social engagement to your calendar, but can be a quite a bit of work to be a fabulous guest. Here’s a guide to some of the things every girl should know when heading to a holiday party:
Looking glam
My absolute favorite thing about this time of year is all the amazing outfits that come with the season. Shine and shimmer is everywhere, and the opportunities for a girl to get dressed up in her best clothes are endless.
Before you start putting together a cute outfit, check what the level of dress is going to be for the party. Black tie or Formal means getting dressed up to the nines. Expect long evening dresses and men in tuxedos. Congrats on such a high class invite!

Semi-Formal means you can break out a shorter cocktail dress and show of some leg. Guys can be a little more relaxed in a trendy suit. If the invite calls for Festive Attire or Dressy Casual, a sparkly top with cute skirt or a pair of nice pants is a great look. Casual means you can grab something in your closet and feel comfy as regular clothes are the norm. Remember though, these are guidelines; put your own flare in whatever you wear. You can always pair a Crystal Frame PlastiChic watch in your favorite hue with your outfit for a pop of color and a bit of bling. Fashion should always be fun!

If you are going to a few parties it can get expensive. Broke isn’t a good look, so don’t forget friends and family are great for closet raids! Do some holiday swapping, find some great outfits and save some money as well. That way you can put your money towards the million other things on your holiday shopping list. You don’t want to break the bank in on order go look good.
Acting the Part
Holiday parties are all about mixing and mingling and sharing the holiday spirit. Instead of worrying about a list of etiquette rules, just be your charming self. The same manners your mom would remind you of work in pretty much any situation. Have a good time and meet lots of new people but don’t go overboard if there are cocktails. There will probably be lots of Facebook picture and you don’t want to have to spend the next morning untagging your self from the majority of them. Talk to that new cutie the host invited and be sure catch up with your old friends. If you’re going to a house party bring a dessert or drink to help your host; they’ll love you for it and it will remind them how amazing you are. Be a party diva and work that room; you’re sure to be the life of the party.

Holiday parties are supposed to be tons of fun. Go ahead: dance, eat and be merry. It’s what the holiday season is all about.
